It was 1st May 2018!
I got unexpected public holiday for four days. And so I planned to travel to Mymensingh division in these four days. On that day I had a plan to visit at mymensingh division but due to unavailability of buses I could not go there. I woke up early in the morning of 6:30 am at 1st May 2018 and went to Mohakhali Bus terminal at the morning of 8:00 am. After going there I saw so much gathering. I was little bit surprised to see so many people there. I thought it was so gatherings as it was a holiday. After talking to some of the people I came to know that no buses have schedule before noon of 12:00 pm. After waiting for some moment I then returned to my home as my home was very near to Mohakhali Bus terminal.

I was taking rest and was planning how I will go at Mymensingh and where will I stay there. At first I had a plan to go at Netrokona district of Mymensingh division. As it was so late I changed my plan to Mymensingh district. I was searching for hotels and checking the rates of them.
All on a sudden my phone ranged. I looked at mobile screen and saw MMCA ZAKIR HOSSAIN CALLING! Oh my God! This is Zakir brother, long time I had no contact with him. I felt very amused to receive his call.
Zakir Hossain asked me on phone, where I was going for holiday trip. I told him the whole details and he proposed me to go with him and two more of our colleges to Madaripur. At first I replied him negatively. But all on a sudden my mind changed to go at Madaripur. I was very excited as after a lot of time I would have the opportunity to meet with my ex colleagues with whom I had a lot of nice memories.
Both of us then called other two colleagues and proposed them to go with us. But they were not able to come with us due to some unusual circumstances.
Alhamdulillah I then started my journey towards Madaripur from Nakhalpara at the early noon of 12:00 PM. At FARMGATE Zakir Hossain vai was waiting for me. We then hired a local bus at Farmgate and went to Fulbaria, Bongsal at 12:30 pm. As it was a holiday the road was very free.
After reaching to Bongsal we then hired two seats of Elish Paribahan at the rate of BDT 70 per person. That bus had a schedule to go at Mawa Ghat. That bus was arrived from Bongsal at 12:45 pm and reached at Mawa Ghat at 2:15 pm. It took approx. 1.5 hours to go at Mawa Ghat from Bongsal.
There is two way to go at Kathalbari Ghat. One way is launch another is Speed Boat. We choose speedboat to go. After departure at Maowa Ghat you need to go at left side to choose speed boat. This is the easiest way to go at Kathalbari ghat. At first a tourist need to pay BDT 150 to buy ticket of speed boat. Most interesting fact is that tourists do not need to wait so long to go by speed boat. Speed boats are very available there.
So it was 2:25 pm when we arrived from Mawa Ghat. The nature of riverside is always very dear to me. I was very pleased to enjoy exceptional sunny river in that day. It took approx. 20 minutes to reach at Kathalbari ghat. I was very surprised to reach there so soon. Actually in my Barisal to Bhola route it takes 45 minutes to reach.
After departing at Kathalbari ghat I was feeling very hungry. But whatever we took coconut as our midday snacks. You can find a coconut at the rate of BDT 50-60.
At kathalbari ghat we were very disturbed to choose the vehicle as there was very few bus services to reach at Madaripur. Last time when I went at Kathalbari ghat at the year of 2015 I found so many buses available there. This time I found very few buses compare to the year of 2015. There are several vehicles what can took us to madaripur. If you choose micro bus to go you need to pay BDT 200 per person. If you choose bus to go you need to pay BDT 80 per person. If you choose Mahindra or speedy auto to go you need to pay BDT 150. We had to wait a long to hire a vehicle. The time was a sunny midday and the passengers were very few. For that reason we had to wait a long time.
After a long waiting at about 3:45 pm we arrived from Kathalbari ghat. We reached to tekerhat rajoir bus stand at about 5:00 pm. It does not take more than 40 minutes to go at Tekerhat Bus stand of Rajoir Subdistrict of Madaripur District. Maybe the vehicle was in low fuel what caused us to take so much time to reach there.
After taking lunch we then go at our guest house PEACE CENTER. In this guest I lived 49 days at the year of 2014. I went there after that year and lived for some days also. It always make me happy when I go at PEACE CENTER. At night we had a very good time. We spend our whole night gossiping with each other. In that night we made our plan to do BBQ in the next night. And this is how first day of my tour ended.
