9. Important Personalities: AKM Fazlul Haque, The Pioneer Colorectal Surgeon in Indo-Pak Subcontinent (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan) and Educator, administrator and political personality Mohammad Keramot Ali were born on Patuakhali District.
