Tour to Bhagmara Bridge of Bhola | NRD’s Tour 054

I like to travel very much, I like to see the beautiful creations of Allah. And I like to see my own district Bhola the most. On Eid-ul-Azha 2020, I visited different places in the Bhola district. After visiting Borhanuddin Upazila, Tulatuli River in Bhola Sadar, Bheduria Bridge in Bhola Sadar, I had the good fortune to visit Baghmara Bridge in Bhola. Because I have been hearing about this new bridge in Bhola district from my friends for a long time but I have never been to it.

At 5:27 pm, we headed for Baghmara Bridge

On Friday, August 7, 2020, after the Friday Jumma prayer, I was talking to my friend Shanto, Sabbir and younger brother Swapan to make me feel better. Suddenly a beautiful new plan came to Sabbir’s head, he said, let’s go somewhere. I said okay; Let’s go! Shanto also wished that very much. They said me to be ready at 4 o’clock and Sabbir and Swapan would bring their motorbikes. I then went home and waited for them. I did not actually fall asleep in the excitement. I looked at my watch again and again and waited for them. Then three of them came to my house at exactly 5:30 pm where they would come at 4 o’clock. And we were on our way to Bheduria Bridge. Since I had just visited the Bheduria Bridge the day before yesterday, I requested them to travel on the Baghmara Bridge. The three of them traveled several times on the Baghmara Bridge. So they knew enough about the Baghmara Bridge. That is why it was very lucky to travel with them.

Bhagmara Bridge from 100 meter far

My excitement was too much because I was the only new traveler. And so, I went to Baghmara Bridge with a DSLR camera around my neck and a Nokia 8 mobile in my hand.

We split into exactly two groups. Shanta was on Sabbir’s new bike and I was on Swapan’s bike. Sabbir rides very fast and Swapan rides very carefully, and so I was more comfortable riding at Swapan’s bike.

I didn’t know that one could go to Baghmara Bridge via Bheduria-Bhelumia road. I didn’t know; Where is Baghmara Bridge located? I was on my way to Baghmara Bridge on the Bhola Sadar-Veduria-Velumia route and wondered what the trip would be like. The lush green nature of Bhola fascinates me as always. This trip is no exception. On the way to Baghmara, we spent some time on the Bheduria Bridge. After a light breakfast, we set off again for Baghmara Bridge.

Bhagmara Bridge, Bhagmara, Bhelumia UP, Bhola

The Baghmara Bridge is located on the Baghmara River. Baghmara Bridge has located about 15 km from Bhola Sadar Upazila. Many Bhola residents have little idea about the location of Baghmara. Many people know that Baghmara is located in Banglabazar of Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola district. But Baghmara is a village of Bhelumia. Bhelumia is a union Parishad in the far north of Bhola Upazila. The Baghmara River connects the Patuakhali district with North Bhola. In the past, it used to take about 2.5 hours to travel from North Bhola to Patuakhali district using the Baghmara river. To alleviate the grief of the people of Bhola district, the government built this much-awaited bridge in 2012 with Tama Construction. It cost Tk 420 million to build the 1,500-foot-long Baghmara Bridge. The Baghmara Bridge has about 120 meters on the east bank and about 360 meters on the west bank.

The most interesting thing about Bhola is the river that flows by the side of Bhola. Every time I look at this beauty in Bhola, I am reminded of the art I did in Class Seven, Eight. I used to have a lot of big trees in that art, thatch next to it, “DOCHALA” house in the village, cattle farm, and a crooked river flowing next to it.

Before going to Bhagmara Bridge, I had an idea that maybe the roads would not be so tidy. But the road from Bhelumia to Baghmara changed my mind. After about 20 to 25 minutes we reached Baghmara Bridge. The thing that surprised me the most about Baghmara Bridge is the length of Baghmara Bridge. The 457-meter bridge is also a dream come true for the people of Bhola.

This is how I was enjoying the afternoon river beauty from Baghmar Bridge

After about 20 minutes we reached Baghmara Bridge. The short trip became more enjoyable due to the beautiful nature of the afternoon. Every time we spent in the afternoon was like a dream. We took a light breakfast during the trip.

After a light breakfast in the evening, we all left for home. But after spending some time on the Bheduria Bridge along the way, we all wanted to go to Tulatuli. I can’t explain to you how emotional we, the people of Bhola are when it comes to visiting Tulatuli. If someone offers us to go to Tulatuli at three o’clock at midnight, we, the people of Bhola, can do the same. But this time the reason for going to Tulatuli was a bit different. Because there is very beautiful pure cow’s milk tea available at a very low price. So I couldn’t resist Sabbir’s offer to go to Tulatuli.

From the left, I, Shanto and Sabbir are drinking that famous pure cow’s milk tea of Tulatuli

At 9:20 pm we reached Tulatuli. Once there, we first drank pure cow’s, pure milk tea. After spending some quality time in Tulatuli, we left for our homes at about 10 o’clock. Honestly, this time We went home even though We didn’t want to. But one thing I am very surprised about. 5 pm to 10:20 pm; How these 5 hours and 20 minutes passed; Being an accountant, I couldn’t count it.

These are really fun times are like this. Comes too late but goes too early. What do you think friends?
