Baghmara Bridge is a modern bridge located on the Baghmara River. Baghmara Bridge is located about 15 km from Bhola Sadar Upazila. Many Bhola residents have little idea about the location of Baghmara. Many people think that Baghmara village is in Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola district; Located in Banglabazar.

But Baghmara is a village of Velumia. And Velumia is a union parishad in the far north of Bhola upazila. The Baghmara River connects Patuakhali district with North Bhola.

In the past, it used to take about 2.5 hours to travel from North Bhola to Patuakhali district using the Baghmara river. To alleviate the grief of the people of Bhola district, the government constructed the much awaited Baghmara Bridge with Tama Construction in 2012. It cost around Rs 42 crore to build the 1,500-foot-long Baghmara Bridge. The Baghmara Bridge has about 120 meters of road on the east bank and about 360 meters on the west bank.
