Name Derive From: The name “Pirojpur” came from the name of the second son of Shah Shuja, The Grandson of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Firoz Shah. According to myth, Firoz Shah died in this area, and the area became known subsequently as ‘Firozpur’. In time, the pronunciation ‘Firozpur’ slowly muted to ‘Pirozpur’
